Jason Zaffary is a composer and multi-instrumentalist based in Orange County, California, and has been writing professionally for 23 years, with work ranging from television, video games, to advertising. With an enormous musical breadth that spans from orchestral to rock, chiptune to folk, EDM to funk (and sometimes all of the above), he enjoys writing music that's lush and packed with detail, while often understated enough so that it reveals more upon further listens. An avid fan of game music old and new, he been part of online remix communities as “Midee” for nearly 25 years.

After studying at Berklee College of Music, he begin work at Juniper Music and Sound Design (later Breed Music) and wrote for hundreds of ads and mnemonics, working with clients such as McDonald’s, AT&T, Sony, and many others. With another nearly 400 tracks written for Universal Music Productions, his work has appeared in sports broadcasts, documentaries, movies, and TV shows - one track was even used on Rick and Morty as the instrumental for "Get Schwifty". One of Jason’s biggest accomplishments has been scoring the latest Universal Television logo bumper in 2011, seen at the end of TV shows for the past 15 years.

Since 2017, he has composed for several video games, including Capcom’s Dead Rising 3 & 4, Puzzle Fighter, EA’s FIFA 2020, and Atari’s Yars Rising, as well as performing and arranging for a slew of others. Jason’s scoring work has also appeared in TV shows such as Cartoon Network's OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes and Titmouse’s Mao Mao, Heroes of Pure Heart, and he has also written for multiple tabletop RPG soundtracks from Hit Point Press.
